This blog post however, pointed me to the right direction :)

After some more Googling, it turns out that the only way at least for now is to use addins from the Autodesk app store like DWG Explorer to delete these directly. I don't understand why it has to be so difficult without addins :(Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05218931863540998077noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2129531331224424267.post-76143928891917817052008-02-22T07:06:00.000-06:002008-02-22T07:06:00.000-06:00Roberta,As i had mentioned above: "if the imported...Roberta,
As i had mentioned above: "if the imported dwg is partially exploded, (and has a block alive?) its stain will remain!!!" For eg, if you partially explode an acad dwg which has doors, windows, tags as blocks. The partially exploded dwg will become lines, arcs, etc and blocks. These blocks are named like "xxx.dwg.doors" or "xxx.dwg.roomtags" etc. The presence of these blocks will leave the imported dwg in the VG and I have not found a method to remove them from VG. Even deleting these blocks don't help.
I hope this helps
nicholas.Nicholas Iyaduraihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01952477018591643586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2129531331224424267.post-73026899163118861992008-02-21T21:47:00.000-06:002008-02-21T21:47:00.000-06:00Nicholas, I found your post about differences betw...Nicholas, I found your post about differences between linked / inserted, very useful.

However, I still have a question.

I have a DWG showing in VG in the Imported Categories that I can't find anywhere. It obviously doesn't show in Manage Links or the browser.

How can I find it so I can get rid of it?

Please reply to: roberto@lfa.com.au

RobertoAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
